August 27, 2010 Glacier

Out on the high plains today. Grain fields as far as you can see. Grain elevators and seed companies in each town.

Very windy today and hazy. You can hardly make out the mountains in the distance. Yesterday we passed the Big Snowy Mts, Judith Mts, Judith Peak. Today its the Little Belt Mts.

Onto the Blackfeet Reservation. Thought of stopping in Browning for groceries. Passed an IGA, should have stopped but we didn't. Kept going through St. Mary, where we will return to for our Glacier Park stay and on to Waterton Lakes. This is the Waterton-Glacier Peace Park. Wow. Great views coming into the park and our campsite, in the town, is surrounded by mountains. Also in the campground were resident elk and deer.

The town is a typical tourist town. We bought a dozen eggs and a bag of lettuce and spent $7.78. We cannot get $ out of the ATM machines. This means a credit card every purchase.
